The county seat of Delaware County, Pennsylvania is the borough of Media. Located about 13 miles west of Philadelphia, Media is the first town in the United States to have fair trade. The borough has an estimated population of around 5,327 residents as of the 2010 census.
The area of Media was left unsettled for while until around 1681 when Peter and William Taylor bought the land from Willam Penn. Due to Media’s rich history, three areas have been made historic districts. These districts are Courthouse Square, Lemon Street, and Providence Friends’ Meeting House District.
