An edge city of Philadelphia, King of Prussia consists of large amounts of retail and office spaces that are all located at the convergence of four highways. The name for the community comes from a local tavern in the 18th century named the King of Prussia Inn, which was named after King Frederick the Great of Prussia.
King of Prussia, locally known as KOP, is located within Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The community has an estimated population of around 19,900 residents as of the 2010 census. One of the largest shopping malls in the United States, the King of Prussia Mall, is located here.
